In Zambia, individuals (both local and foreign) are exempted from paying tax on dividends received from listed securities. Companies (both local and foreign) pay a withholding tax of 15% and 20% respectively. The tax is paid to the Zambia Revenue Authority. The amount is usually deducted at source by the paying company.
